George Oudhuis was appointed the 23rd member of the Packers FAN Hall of Fame

George Oudhuis of Rolling Prairie in Indiana was named the 23rd member of the Green Bay Packers Fans Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
During the voting period on packers.com from January 1st to 31st, Oudhuis was selected by fans of 10 finalists. There were more than 71,800 votes from all over the United States and countries around the world.
Oudhuis is a native of Indiana and has been a Packers fan since he was 9 years old. He has collected Packers souvenirs all his life, including birthday gifts and Father’s Day gifts from family and friends, as well as childhood memorabilia, such as his first Ray Nitschke jersey. . His collection is stored in his basement, and he shares this special place at home with visitors, friends and relatives to tell the story of the Packers and encourage the next generation of fans.
His dedication to the team is further reflected in his key to Green Bay City. In 2013, when he assisted in unveiling the street sign commemorating Donald Driver Way, he showed Oudhuis the key.
For more than ten years, countless friends and relatives have nominated Oudhuis every year, including his friend Jim Brandt. He shared how Oudhuis works in this year’s nomination paper to help his community members and other team supporters support packing worker. This year is the fourth time Oudhuis has been shortlisted for the FAN Hall of Fame finals.
The excerpt from Brandt’s nomination also mentions how Oudhuis’ basement reflects his special relationship with Packers: “When he showed it to me, I realized that this is not just a typical collection, it’s like telling through Packers A souvenir of his own life story… He is proud of his collection and delights in the memories associated with each item… George is a real guy dedicated to his family, community and his team. He has supported and promoted the Green Bay Packers almost his entire life.”
Regarding his nomination, Oudhuis said: “I’m honored because the Packers’ fan base is spread all over the world. This makes me very excited, thinking that my family’s name will match some of the great Packers I’ve admired. Being connected, it makes me very excited. As a child.”

In recognition of his selection, Oudhuis will receive four club seats in the 2021 Packers home game; $500 Packers Pro Shop gift voucher; two people will participate in the 2021 Packers road trip, including game tickets, air tickets and hotel accommodation ; And a one-year Packer Plus subscription.
Oudhuis will also permanently display his name in the honor section of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
